Bounties of Allah upon His Servants are much, yet, vast numbers of people do not show gratitude to Allah for that, as most of them are concerned with disadvantages and overlook advantages. In this regard, Allah Almighty says: "And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." An-Naml, 73.

How great for you to include yourself to the few that are praised by Allah in the verse which reads "And few of My servants are grateful", Saba`, 13.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has been used to show gratitude to Allah before sleeping to end his acts with this great one.

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) related that the Prophet would say when going to bed: Praise be to Allah who afforded us with food, drink, tranquility, and shelter; so many are those who are in need to tranquility and shelter.), related by Imam Muslim.

How easy it is for us to reflect on Muslims and non-Muslims overseas who lack to food and shelter so that we may feel the importance of showing gratitude to Allah before sleeping every night.
