Short Description

The one contemplating on the condition of the Muslim nation at the present time eastward and westward would be too depressed of the disgrace and humility and the afflictions it experiences. From suffering occupation in Palestine, Iraq, Kashmir and Afghanistan to oppression, starvation and subjugation, the righteous Muslims hasten relief, empowering to the land and lifting injustice from the oppressed hither and thither and this is the state of the sincere Muslims!!
In the course of such concepts, Dr. Ragheb delivered his effective sermon which tackles the issue of hastening relief. He started talking about the state of the Muslim nation and hastening relief and eliminating oppression by some sincere Muslims. He resumed stating that hastening is a (natural) disposition as allah, the Almighty declares in His Quranic verse "and man is ever hasty", Al-Israa,11, and " Man was created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not impatiently urge Me", Al-Anbiaa, 37.
Dr. Ragheb declared that the derivatives of the word "Hast" was referred to it in the Glorious Quran 19 times where they were in majority in the course of dispraise and prohibition or it was a characteristic of disbeliever, hypocrites and renegades. To exemplify, Allah, the Almighty, says:" They urge you to hasten the punishment", Al-`Ankabut, 54, and "And they say, "Our Lord, hasten for us our share [of the punishment] before the Day of Account" sad, 16.
On the other hand, whenever haste was mentioned in relation to the faithful, it was connected with prohibition that Allah, the Almighty, says:" And, [O Muúammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you", Taha, 114.
The faithful and people always seek relief and goodness in general except who actually comprehended the significance of Allah's established rules as to reform and changing the conditions. Getting relief for Muslims can never be achieved through wishes or mere words, but by deeds and strife.
Based on that, Allah (SWT) cited the example of many nations before us and how He changed their conditions from weakness to might, from subjugation to dignity and from inferiority to superiority.
The one contemplating on the Glorious Quran would plainly find out that the story of the children of Israel is a very clear example as to the way of changing the conditions of the nations; the matter will be detailed by Dr. Ragheb El-Sergani.
If the faithful hasten relief and victory, Allah's established rules are not changeable, the matter plainly declared in the story of Noah (PBUH) with his people where he spent 950 years calling them to monotheism, yet they refused and behaved arrogantly for more than 950 years, though Allah, the Almighty, is able to inflict torture on them and relieve his prophet in one year or less. However, it is the established way of Allah as to changing matters, as if Allah reassures the Muslim nation not to hasten relief as it will absolutely occur.
Prophet Noah (PBUH) continued calling to monotheism 950 years, and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) do the same for 20 years experiencing persecution, expulsion, migration, assassination attempts, battles, small battles and delegates and afterwards he gain victory and relief through opening of Mecca after more than 20 years of his prophecy. The established rules of Allah are applicable even to his dearest Muhammad (PBUH).
If we hasten victory and relief for Muslims and Islam, the companions of the prophet did the same before us. Khabba ibn Al-Arat hastened victory for Muslims after Muslims suffered a lot from the disbelievers. Al-Bukhari narrated on the autority of khabbab that he said:(We complained to Allah's Apostle (of the persecution inflicted on us by the infidels) while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka`ba, leaning over his Burd (i.e. covering sheet). We said to him, "Would you seek help for us? Would you pray to Allah for us?" He said, "Among the nations before you a (believing) man would be put in a ditch that was dug for him, and a saw would be put over his head and he would be cut into two pieces; yet that (torture) would not make him give up his religion. His body would be combed with iron combs that would remove his flesh from the bones and nerves, yet that would not make him abandon his religion. By Allah, this religion (i.e. Islam) will prevail till a traveler from Sana (in Yemen) to Hadrarmaut will fear none but Allah, or a wolf as regards his sheep, but you (people) are hasty).
It seems as If Allah likes us to comprehend the significance of life, thus we should be prepared firstly, because empowering Muslims to the land implies sedition which if coupled to non-preparation, the sedition will be great in the land. Accordingly, Allah will not empower Muslims to the land unless they are well-prepared.
Allah's relief to Muslims is not granted so long as they are not worthy of it; however it is for the sincere Muslims who strive in the cause of Allah. It is a mercy of Allah that He rewards Muslims for their deeds not for the consequence of such deeds. To illustrate, a Muslim man may die while striving in the cause of Allah and abided by His rope, yet he does not view victory, but Allah rewards him for his strife and good deeds, the matter plainly declared in the biography of the righteous companions and predecessors which will be the topic of the next sermon.
