Obama: A new actor in old scenario
Many Muslims err when they equalize between the political conditions in America and the west and those in the Arab and Muslim countries. They believe that the president is despot in his decisions that the whole state accedes to his decisions.
In fact, they believe in that due to the long accompany to their Arab dictator rulers who hold the reins of issues and give orders satisfying their own desires and inclinations. Such rulers are very heedless to the desires of their nationals, opinions of the parliaments, ministers or counselors.
Americais not so:
Decision in America is not taken by a sole one, be a president or minister, however, it is an institutional one formed by the whole party and others not affiliated to any of the two parties, democratic or republican alongside the national security institutions, decision-making centers, specialized advisory councils, CIA, advanced scientific bodies, the Senate, Congress, and other bodies.
The American president is not who takes decisions, but he only announces them, thereby, he is an actor in a play compiled and directed earlier. He is not allowed any way to exit the text. He may use his own style in performance and his skills when introducing the message of the author and director. The actor may be proficient like Obama or unsuccessful like Bush, but eventually he is no more than an actor playing his role in repeated scenario compiled years ago.
Scenario ofIsrael,Palestine, Zionist and the Arabs and Jews and Muslims is an old play compiled by American authors since ancient times and many actors act according to it according to the different circumstances.
Truman who recognized Israel 11 minutes after declaration of its state on May 14, 1948 has not do that for his personal passion toward the Jews, but because it was undoubtedly prepared in advance. Also, Johnson, who supportedIsrael's invasion for Sinai, the West Bank andGazaand theGolan Heightsin 1967, was only for satisfying the Congress. And Carter, who was sponsoring the Camp David talks, which led - for the first time- to recognizing the state ofIsraelwas not personal motivated. The same is for Reagan, who supported the invasion ofLebanonin 1982 and suppliedIsraelwith the internationally banned bombs has not done that except by the approval ofAmerica.
George W. Bush, who sent half a millionU.S.soldiers into the Muslim lands since 1990, has not done that due to personal bias onIraqor Muslims. Clinton have not enforced Oslo agreements which primarily aimed at subduing the Palestinian resistance and suppressing Hamas, and giving the new Palestinian Authority the powers to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people, and illusive hope in establishing the state of Palestine provided that more than 80% is recognized for the Jews of the Palestinian lands. He has not made all of that as he personally likes it. And George W. Bush, who has not occupiedAfghanistanandIraqmilitarily; it was not because he is an aggressive man ledAmericafor things it disfavor!
All these incidents are no more than old play written carefully by many parts and by contribution of protestant Jews and finally shaped by large numbers of politicians, militants, economists and scientists. In the end, Mr. President announces it.
This emphasizes that Obama will not be different a little or a lot than his formerUSpresidents concerning the Jewish Palestinian issue. I have noted to this point in an earlier article titled "The Realistic Expectations", so I'd like to review it because of its importance to figure out the issue in question.
Obama tried to be cunning one month earlier to holding the post when he was asked about his opinion on shellingGazabrutally, but he referred it to the Bush administration. Obama added thatAmericahas now a president who takes the appropriate decisions in this matter. Obama's attitude may reflect a delicate character as if not his electoral program depended from beginning to end on criticizing Bush and accusing him of many disadvantages. However, on the Palestinian issue, Obama avoided criticizing Bush or shoeing objection against him. When Obama was pressed to comment on Bush on the Palestinian issue, he said:Israelhas the right to defend itself if bombed. Obama did not ask himself: Why does Hamas bombIsrael?! He even had not thought why the Jews came from worldwide and occupied and expelled Palestinian people, or whyIsraelbesieges the Gaza Strip since a year and a half.
He did not try to know it all; because the actor in the play is not allowed to know or invent or adopt a certain attitude, but only to exercise the pre-written text.
When Obama took power and gave his inaugural address, he announced his policy clearly. He decidedly supported the Jews in their defense of their "state" ofIsrael, and declared that Hamas must recognize the Zionist entity. He also announced that the surrounding countries, notablyEgypt, have to prevent the arrival of weapons to the resister. He declared his support for the Palestinian Authority led by Abu Mazin, despite Palestinians disapprove it and its history known by thefts, embezzlements and treasons. Obama also announced thatAmericawill continue combating terrorism and extremism, and that the Arab countries should to cooperate in this regard.
No doubt that we all know what is meant by the terrorist organizations. It is definitely the Islamic organizations giving no yield to the American or Zionist occupation and that the Arab and Muslim states must be meek and accepts humiliation showing no objection, or else it will be tainted by terrorism and be charged by violence and extremism.
Clearly, we wonder: What is the difference in this speech between Obama, Bush, Clinton and other heads of the American Foundations?! Why some Muslims believe that a new era will begin?! And what is more owned by Obama than other presidents?!
But what saddens me really that the Arab media disregarded all that and paid attention to the Obama's gesture in his speech to the Muslim and the Arab world where he was quoted as respecting the Muslim world. The Arab media headlined its newspaper with these words proudly. It seems as if they are very happy that Obama named them, disregarding his full support for the Jews, and wronging the Palestinians, and his very plain pro-Zionist policy.
O Muslims! It is not proper for you to feel pride as Obama referred to you in his speech.
O Muslims! Do not copy the pre-Islamic days when the Arabs used to feel proud if met Caesar even for once a life or for bowing in thepalaceofKhosrau.
The condition of Muslims changed completely after revelation of Islam and thereby Muslims became masters of the East and the West. `Umar, May Allah be pleased with him, said: "We are people whom Allah honored in Islam, and if we seek honor in outside Islam, Allah will make us humiliated." This statement unveils the reason why leaders and soldiers of Hamas are lofty, despite siege, confinement, and martyrs and injured.
Also, it explores the reason why the Arab rulers are humiliated and weak, though they are in power and live luxuriously.
The real dignity is not in a gesture of Obama, or a grant from Sultan, but it is in Allah's power, the Lord of might, the Owner of Sovereignty.
I wish my people could know!
May Allah grant glory to Islam and Muslims! Amen.
