(Verily Allah will never change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves)

As you are, so will be appointed on you.

Allah says: (And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah , We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning.")

Allah says: (And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.)

Allah says: (And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.)

Allah says: (And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength. And do not turn away, [being] criminals.")

Allah says: (There was for [the tribe of] Saba' in their dwelling place a sign: two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left. [They were told], "Eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land [have you], and a forgiving Lord.")

Allah says: (But they turned away [refusing], so We sent upon them the flood of the dam, and We replaced their two [fields of] gardens with gardens of bitter fruit, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees.)

Allah says: (Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time.)

Your vote

Make the intention that you are willing to change the situation to a better one.

Make the intention that you are going to satisfy Allah.

Forget everything else; forget your race, your nationality, your friends, relations, and personal benefits.

Just think about the benefit of the Muslims.

The committee of the mosque will deal with the budget of the mosque, should have a role in the Muslim community and the American community as well.

So we know that all brothers that will be nominated are good and honest, but we need you to elect the seven people that have

1-      Encouragement and intention

2-      Work for Islam

3-      Capability and efficiency

4-      Time to serve

Do not despair , you may think that your role is just a single vote and some group will affect the election process.

But remember, you are doing what you can do in the cause of Allah, to satisfy Allah, and remember (Verily Allah will never change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves)
