Short Description
“Then Jesus said: "With your words I am not consoled because where you hope for light darkness shall come;
“Then Jesus said: "With your words I am not consoled because where you hope for light darkness shall come; but my consolation is in the coming of the Messenger who shall destroy every false opinion of me and his faith shall spread and shall take hold of the whole world, for so has God promised to Abraham, our father. And that which gives me consolation is that his faith shall have no end, but shall be kept inviolate by God." The priest answered: "After the coming of the Messenger of God, shall other prophets come?" Jesus answered: "There shall not come after him true prophets sent by God.”” [Barnabas 97:4-8]
At the end of this article in which we have presented some glad tidings given by the previous Scriptures of the Torah and Gospel about the Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him], it is pleasant to conclude with a real story which confirms the truthfulness of these glad tidings.
A Latin monk called Framrino was able to discover the Italian version of the Gospel. While reading some epistles written by Irinaeus, he found one of them condemning Saint Paulbased on the Gospel of Barnabas. This motivated the monk to look for this version of the Gospel and the conditions of his work in the Papal headquarters helped him achieve this. After a period of time, he became close to Pope Sixtus V and was able to enter the Papal library where he found a copy of the Gospel of Barnabas[1] he had aspired to get. After reading it, he was certain of the Prophethood of Muhammad [peace be upon him], thereupon he embraced Islam.[2]
